I looked at the reviews after I visited this place and I have to say I'm somewhat surprised at the 1-2 star ratings. Perhaps I have a different taste for Chinese food, or perhaps the cooks have recently changed out since April?
In any case, I did very much enjoy most of the food at this location. The Bourbon Chicken was excellent and I very much enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken as well. I do admit that the chow mien did have a fair bit of lacking in flavor, but soy sauce fixed it up enough to put it on par for me. I also liked the efficient and expedient way that my food was served to me, as I was in and out far faster than I would have in any other line at the food court. However I do caution to others that you better know what you want BEFORE getting in line, as you are herded along quite quickly once you get served.
With that said, its 4 star for mall-food and not 4 star for overall Chinese food. In that regard I have certainly had much better. -

Avoid this place at all cost. Servers are very grumpy. They mixed up my order and was rude to me as if it was my fault. Lol. Food is greasy and full of MSG. Never eating there again.

Be careful with your credit card here, they like to commit credit card fraud.

Avoid this place at all cost! Very grumpy and unhappy staff. Foods are salty and taste terrible. Be extra cautious about changes, they "make" mistakes.

I don't know why they're still holding on to the spot at pacific centre. I mean after the renovation every store improved their service. This one makes the exact same food with the exact same taste with the exact same jacked up prices.
It might be a good attraction for tourists who don't know better. But there won't be many locals that like their food. The sad fact tho is in the downtown area of Vancouver there isn't that much Chinese food and this might be the only choice if u want something Chinese.
